Social Media Training

In Person Training Available Near San Diego

Mashable (Independent News Network) just recently came out with an article that states Social Media is projected to have a $16.9 billion dollar revenue for 2012. Social Media is an essential part of business now regardless of size. No longer can it be thought of and used to JUST catch up with your friends and family if you are running a business. Chances are your competitors are on social media which means you are already a step behind! If they aren’t then this gives you an opportunity to jump ahead. Your clients and customers don’t only use social media but they hang out there. Now your business can be in other people’s conversations all over the internet. You can step in the door, introduce yourself, tell people who you are, what you do, and how your service or product could benefit them. Word of mouth has shifted from in person to over the internet. People write reviews on sites to let you know their experience, people ask right in Facebook “Hey does any one have suggestions about this” or “I need this where should I go or do you know anyone?” They get responses all of the time. Recently I asked about which tablet I should buy and had great answers all from social media.

I offer social media training mostly to small business owners and professionals. Small businesses have it hard enough as they are competing with large corporations. These online platforms can be a cost effective way to say hey we do exist, we have a voice, and a personality. When you buy and support local businesses you can see that money being spent again locally which helps the community. I enjoy what I’m doing as well as the projects I’m involved with currently and want to share my knowledge with you. Training sessions have been different for just about everyone I’ve worked with. I will tailor the training based on what you know, what you want to know, your audience, and adapt to the speed you learn and grasp the material. Understanding which platform your audience is using is HUGE. The last thing you want to do is spend all of your time, effort, energy, and hard earned money using Twitter and Facebook only to find out all of your clients use LinkedIn. After the training sessions I want to be the go to person for you when you do have questions. I do understand how busy your life can be and I will do the best I can to adapt my schedule to yours.

The most popular platforms that I offer training for are:

  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • Pinterest
  • LinkedIn
  • Google Plus
  • YouTube
  • Instagram
  • FourSquare
Social Media Management Programs:
  • Hootsuite
  • BufferApp
  • If This Then That
Those are the main ones that I use but I also can help with others such as Tumblr (over 50 million users), Blogger, Quora, Empire Avenue, etc. Chances are if you mention it to me I have used it and can help so don’t be afraid to ask!
